Coconut is a traditional crop in Vietnam. Coconut trees are present in most regions of Vietnam with a total area of nearly 200,000 hectares, ranking fifth in the world.
Vietnam currently has more than 800 enterprises producing and processing coconut and coconut-related products with many different types and scales of operation, creating jobs for more than 15,000 workers. Among them, there are about 90 enterprises exporting coconut and coconut-related products; Nearly half of these enterprises exported deeply processed products.
